Two Arrested in Surrey Extortion Case Linked to Violence

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of 2024 extortion cases in Surrey, B.C., involving arson and gunfire. The incidents targeted primarily South Asian business owners and are part of a larger pattern of organized criminal intimidation across the Lower Mainland. A Joint Force Operation (JFO), established in January 2025, is leading the investigation with support from multiple police agencies. Authorities urge victims not to comply with extortion demands and to report incidents immediately. The investigation remains ongoing.
