Police probe extortion-linked shooting in South Surrey
Surrey Police are investigating a suspected extortion-related shooting in South Surrey after multiple shots were fired in the 14300 block of 28 Avenue around 3:50 a.m. on Sept. 5. Officers found several shell casings but reported no injuries or property damage. Police say the case is part of a growing trend, with 28 extortion incidents already reported in Surrey this year. Investigators are appealing to the public for information or footage that may assist the probe.
