Heated Shelters, New Park Planned for Surrey’s Newton
Surrey is set to enhance community spaces in Newton with semi-enclosed heated shelters planned for Chimney Heights and T.E. Scott parks, providing residents with year-round gathering spots. At the same time, city hall is developing a new 1.6-hectare park in South Newton at 58A Avenue and 142 Street, featuring a multi-sport court, playground, and a pilot leash-optional dog path. Both projects aim to improve accessibility, recreation, and community connection across Newton.
