The B.C. Supreme Court ruled that Sorensen exploited the victim, who considered him a trusted family friend, while she was intoxicated and vulnerable in her own home. Despite his clean record and low risk of reoffending, the court noted Sorensen showed limited remorse and imposed additional conditions, including a DNA order, weapons ban, and no-contact order.
