Surrey man charged after shooting outside police office

A 34-year-old man has been charged after a shooting near Gateway SkyTrain Station and a Surrey police office Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported. Jose Digno Rodriguez Centeno faces five charges, including unauthorized firearm possession and assault of a police officer. The nearby police office was briefly closed for safety checks before reopening Tuesday. Surrey Police Service continues to investigate and urges witnesses to come forward.
