Delta Leads Metro Vancouver in DUI Enforcement: MADD

The Delta Police Department has been ranked first in Metro Vancouver for impaired driving enforcement, according to MADD Metro Vancouver’s 2024 Top 5 Awards. Based on per capita enforcement data from July 2023 to December 2024, Delta led with 752 DUI actions—one for every 144 residents. Port Moody, Surrey, Coquitlam, and Langley followed. MADD credited Delta’s leadership and use of Mandatory Alcohol Screening for its strong performance. The awards, supported by ICBC and the Ministry of Public Safety, aim to recognize proactive policing that helps reduce impaired driving incidents.
