Punjabi-Canadian singer Karan Aujla, with roots in Surrey, has made history with his new album P-Pop Culture. The record debuted at No. 1 on Spotify in India and Pakistan, No. 4 in Canada, and entered the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart at No. 3 with 12.4 million streams—the highest-ever debut for a Punjabi-language album in Canada. Its lead single “For A Reason” has already surpassed 40 million views in 12 days, and Aujla is set to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 9.
