Pedestrian Critically Hurt in Early-Morning Surrey Bus Crash

A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a TransLink bus early Saturday, Oct. 4, near Highway 10 and King George Boulevard in Surrey. The collision occurred just after 5 a.m., according to Surrey Police Service. The bus was out of service at the time, and the driver remained on scene, co-operating fully with investigators. B.C. Emergency Health Services transported the victim to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and police are asking witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area between 4:45 and 5:15 a.m. to contact Surrey Police.
