Surrey Couple Dead in Suspected Domestic Violence Case

A domestic violence incident in Surrey’s Clayton Heights on July 7 ended tragically when RCMP officers fatally shot an armed man and discovered a deceased woman inside the home. The couple, both in their 60s, were believed to be in an intimate relationship, and investigators say the woman was likely killed before police arrived. The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) is reviewing police conduct, while the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is investigating the woman’s death. Authorities have confirmed there is no further risk to the public.
