Addictions Counsellor Opens Alcohol-Free Store in Vernon

Vernon addictions counsellor Craig Renfrew, 19 years sober, has opened Sobr Market, Western Canada’s first alcohol-free beverage store. Located at 1077 Fairweather Road, the shop opened on September 19 and sells only non-alcoholic beers, wines, spirits, and mocktails. Renfrew, who also runs Ten66 Recovery, says the store offers a safe space for people choosing sobriety, cutting back, or abstaining for health reasons. He hopes the venture helps reduce stigma around not drinking and supports Vernon’s growing sober community.
