White Rock Gears Up for Second Summer Community Cleanup

The Green Team of Canada’s Lower Mainland and the City of White Rock will host their second summer community litter cleanup on Sunday, August 17, from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., meeting at the Oxford Comfort Station. Following a July 20 event that removed over 123 pounds of litter, the initiative aims to protect the ocean, connect residents, and raise environmental awareness. All ages and abilities are welcome, with equipment and snacks provided. Forty-five volunteers have already registered, and more are encouraged to join via the event’s Meetup page.
