Delta Care Centre Project Faces 2028 Completion Timeline

The completion of Delta’s new Beedie Long-Term Care Centre, set to replace the aging Mountain View Manor, has been delayed by a year to 2028, according to B.C.’s first quarterly financial report. Early site work is underway with more than $4 million already spent. The $198 million project—funded primarily by the Ministry of Health and community fundraising—will double capacity to 200 beds, add a 32-space adult day program, and include a 49-space child care facility to support intergenerational programming. Despite the revised schedule, overall costs remain unchanged.
