$1M Bright Futures fund supports Surrey school students
The Wubs Family Foundation has pledged $1 million over four years to support Surrey students through its new Bright Futures initiative. Announced Sept. 25 at Westland Insurance headquarters, the program will provide meals, school supplies, field trips, and access to technology for under-resourced schools across the city. Surrey Schools superintendent Mark Pearmain and local principals praised the partnership, which aims to reduce barriers and create equal opportunities for students. Additional support comes from corporate partners including KPMG, Envision, Lawson Lundell, Reotech, PCI, and Anderson Air.
