BCUC Approves FortisBC’s $1.14B LNG Expansion in Delta
The BC Utilities Commission has approved FortisBC’s $1.14 billion Tilbury LNG expansion in Delta, replacing a 56-year-old tank with a larger 3-billion-cubic-foot facility to boost energy reliability. Construction runs to 2030, with rates rising about 1.78% annually during the build. The new tank will store gas solely for FortisBC customers, enhancing B.C.’s energy security.
