The City of Surrey has partnered with Surrey United Soccer Club on a 30-year lease to build a new covered training facility at Cloverdale Athletic Park. Valued at over $2.1M with $400K in city support, the project will replace part of the current gravel field, adding year-round training space. Construction is set to start by April 2026 and finish that June, boosting sports access for Surrey athletes and the community.
The Cloverdale Community Football Association (CCFA) is kicking off its 2025 fall season with the annual Cloverbowl pre-season tournament on Aug. 16–17 at Cloverdale Athletic Park. Players, coaches, and volunteers have been preparing for the season opener. The event will feature a concession run by the Surrey Central Lions Club, with proceeds supporting local charities, and will also collect food donations for the Surrey Food Bank. CCFA aims to build on last year’s success, which included two provincial championship wins, while promoting youth sports and community engagement.
