Abbotsford police are investigating three shootings in less than three days, including two on Monday morning. The latest occurred around 11:45 a.m. on the 33200 block of George Ferguson Way, where a 41-year-old man suffered serious gunshot wounds and a suspect was arrested. Earlier that morning, a fatal shooting took place on Ridgeview Drive, while a Saturday incident at Clearbrook Road and Downes Road left one person with minor injuries. Police say Monday’s noon-hour shooting appears targeted and is unrelated to the other cases. The recent violence comes after Abbotsford recorded a five-year low in homicide rates in 2024, according to Statistics Canada. Investigators are appealing for witnesses to contact 604-859-5225.
