A Chilliwack couple turned their wedding into a viral moment with their first dance onstage at a Jonas Brothers concert in Vancouver.
A Wedding Day Like No Other
Most newlyweds head to a reception after saying “I do.” But for Kenzie and Parker Roach, the celebration took a surprising turn. Hours after tying the knot at Honeymoon Bay in Cultus Lake, the Chilliwack couple found themselves under the bright lights of Rogers Arena—dancing their first dance in front of thousands of Jonas Brothers fans.
Still dressed in her flowing wedding gown and his tuxedo, Kenzie, 29, and Parker, 26, swayed to When You Look Me In The Eyes as Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas serenaded them live. The band smiled, gestured, and sang as the couple soaked in the once-in-a-lifetime moment.
“It was our first dance,” Kenzie said, beaming.
From Wedding Plans to Concert Dreams
The path to this magical moment was anything but traditional. After two and a half years of engagement, the couple struggled to pin down their wedding details. But one thing was certain: they had Jonas Brothers tickets.
Back in August, they decided to line up their big day with the concert. With just 29 days to plan, they pulled off their wedding—and secured pit tickets.
When the band began taking requests mid-show, Kenzie shouted out her choice. To her surprise, Joe Jonas stopped and called them onstage. “My mom said this would be the best wedding song ever,” she explained. That request sealed the deal.
Backstage Nerves, Onstage Magic
Escorted backstage by security, the couple met Frankie Jonas before being led out for a grand walk-on. Nerves melted away once the music started.
“The brothers just gave off this energy like, ‘We’ve got you—enjoy this moment,’” Kenzie recalled. Looking out at the crowd, she felt completely immersed. Parker admitted he avoided overthinking it. “It was a pretty crazy experience,” he said.
From Small Wedding to Viral Fame
The Roaches had planned for an intimate celebration. Instead, their story has spread across social media, with fans sharing photos and videos of their unforgettable dance.
“We planned for a small wedding and now it’s a viral wedding,” Kenzie laughed. “We’re so grateful for everyone who captured the moment and shared it with us.”
And while both enjoyed the spotlight, Parker admits one thing: “Kenzie’s definitely the bigger Jonas Brothers fan.”
✨ A wedding reception is memorable. But a first dance with your favorite band? That’s legendary.
