Ex-MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay takes on new role as chair of the Conservative Electors Association of B.C. advisory board, focusing on safer streets and lower taxes.

Former MP Takes on Key Leadership Role

The Conservative Electors Association of British Columbia has tapped a familiar name for its top advisory role. Former South Surrey–White Rock MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay has been appointed as chair of the association’s advisory board. Alongside her, Vancouver executive Elaine Allan has been named vice-chair.

Experience That Speaks Volumes

Findlay is no stranger to leadership. Her track record in public service includes roles as minister of national revenue, associate minister of national defence, and chief opposition whip. She has also served as parliamentary secretary to the minister of justice. Beyond politics, she has held senior positions within Canada’s legal community, bringing a wealth of expertise to her new position.

A Focus on Local Impact

In her statement, Findlay highlighted the importance of municipal leadership in people’s daily lives.
“Local government is where affordability, safety, and competence are felt most directly,” she explained. As advisory board chair, she plans to focus on strategy while mentoring and recruiting Conservative candidates across B.C. Her priorities include safer streets, lower taxes, and policies that put families first.

A Strong Team Effort

Allan, who steps in as vice-chair, brings extensive experience from both the private and non-profit worlds. She has previously served as CEO of Skills Canada BC and founded Inbox Impact, a communications studio that supports non-profits—especially those focused on animal rescue.

Building the Conservative Vision in B.C.

The advisory board will play a central role in shaping the future of the association. Its mandate includes guiding policy development, steering candidate recruitment, and providing strategic direction. At the heart of this work is the association’s commitment to safer communities, fiscal responsibility, and family-focused policies.
