Surrey’s Treat Accessibly Halloween Village is back Oct. 25, offering inclusive trick-or-treating for kids of all abilities. Free tickets available now.
Surrey Welcomes Back Accessible Halloween Fun
Halloween in Surrey is about to get even more magical. On October 25, families can step into a world where trick-or-treating is open to all kids, no matter their abilities.
From 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Newton will transform into Treat Accessibly’s Halloween Village, a festive event designed to make sure no child misses out on the joy of Halloween.
A Village Where Everyone Belongs
The idea behind Treat Accessibly started with a simple, heartfelt moment. Back in 2017, founder Rich Padulo and his daughter were decorating their home for Halloween. As they set pumpkins on the steps, they noticed a child in a wheelchair across the street. That child couldn’t join in the fun because of the stairs leading to their front door.
That realization sparked a movement. Today, Treat Accessibly has grown into a national initiative—one that brings safe, inclusive trick-or-treating to communities across Canada.
Surrey’s Fourth Year of Spooky Fun
This year marks Surrey’s fourth Halloween Village, hosted near 69A Avenue and Bristol Place. It’s not just about candy—it’s about creating memories that every child can take home.
And the excitement is catching on. In 2022 alone, there were nine villages across the country, drawing more than 15,000 kids and parents eager to celebrate Halloween without barriers.
Free Tickets—but They’re Going Fast
Here’s the best part: tickets to Surrey’s Halloween Village are completely free. But there’s a catch—spots are limited, and the first time slot is already sold out. Families looking to join in should secure their tickets as soon as possible.

Why It Matters
Halloween is often filled with obstacles for kids with disabilities—steps, narrow walkways, and even poorly lit areas can make trick-or-treating tough. Treat Accessibly’s mission is to remove those barriers, ensuring that every child, with or without disabilities, gets to feel the magic of Halloween night.
This October, Surrey will once again prove that when a community comes together, everyone gets to share in the treats.
