Two Pedestrians Injured in Surrey Bus Stop Crash

Two pedestrians were hospitalized, one in serious condition, after being struck by a car at a bus stop near King George Boulevard and 76 Avenue in Surrey on Saturday evening. The vehicle also collided with a hydro pole. The driver remained at the scene, and Surrey Police Service is investigating. Witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage are urged to contact SPS at 604-599-0502, quoting file 2025-79949 (SP).

Serious Collision at Surrey Transit Stop

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, a car veered off the road and struck two pedestrians waiting at a bus stop near King George Boulevard and 76 Avenue in Surrey, British Columbia. The impact also knocked over a hydro pole. Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded to the scene.

Victims’ Condition and Emergency Response

Both individuals taken to hospital; one remains in serious condition according to SPS. First responders administered aid at the site before transporting them. The nature of injuries is not yet released.

Driver Remained on Scene; Cause Still Unknown

The driver involved in the incident stayed at the location following the crash. Authorities have not confirmed whether speed, impairment, mechanical failure or other factors played a role. The investigation remains active.

Infrastructure Damage Raises Concerns

In addition to the harm to people, the collision severely damaged a hydro pole, raising public safety and power service concerns. Local utilities are assessing the impact and restoration work.
