The fall concert schedule includes major performances with a charitable edge. On Sept. 27, the Coast to Coast fundraiser at Surrey Arts Centre will bring 80s rock to the stage in support of the Surrey Food Bank. Meanwhile, tribute acts in Ikons of Rock (Sept. 11) and a Beethoven Piano Concerto showcase by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (Sept. 21) promise unforgettable evenings at the Bell Performing Arts Centre.

Laughter takes centre stage this month with Varun Grover’s stand-up solo Love, Death & Ketchup on Sept. 13, exploring fears of mortality and condiment shortages. The Royal Canadian Theatre Company will keep the chuckles coming with They Came From Mars… from Sept. 26-28, a fast-paced parody filled with mishaps and absurdity.
Theatre That Tells New Stories
Surrey Arts Centre’s Main Stage is hosting a range of theatre productions this season. Highlights include Urinetown, The Musical (Sept. 10–12), the acrobatic spectacle Afrique en Cirque (Oct. 5), and You Used to Call Me Marie… (Oct. 15–25), which follows Métis stories of resilience across generations. Each production brings fresh narratives to local audiences.
Festivals That Celebrate Culture
Surrey’s festival season offers something for everyone.
