Surrey Car Wash Storefront Targeted in Late-Night Shooting

Late on August 18, Surrey Police Service officers discovered bullet holes at a car wash near 128 Street and 84 Avenue during routine patrol. The business was closed, and no one was on site. The incident was unreported before officers noticed the damage. Authorities say it is too early to confirm a motive or any link to recent extortion attempts targeting Surrey’s South Asian business community. The SPS Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) has taken over the investigation.
