Sounds of Summer – Live and Local

Every Wednesday evening in July and August, Surrey transforms its parks into open-air music stages. The Sounds of Summer concert series brings you everything from smooth jazz and R&B to classic rock anthems — all with no admission fee.

The series continues this week with the Sukoon Band performing on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at T.E. Scott Park (7014 148 St.). Expect an evening of uplifting beats, warm summer air, and a community vibe that’s hard to beat.

A Night at the Movies – Under the Open Sky

What pairs better with a summer night than a movie under the stars? This week, grab your blankets and settle in for “Mufasa: The Lion King” — the prequel to the beloved classic that’s captured hearts for generations. Watch the story unfold on a giant outdoor screen, surrounded by friends, family, and that unmistakable summer-night magic.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It

With live music, blockbuster movies, and the beauty of Surrey’s parks as your backdrop, this week offers a perfect excuse to skip the couch. Whether you’re there for the rhythm, the roar, or both, Surrey’s summer lineup is one for the memory books.
