IHIT seeks public help to ID a red Dodge Charger linked to the fatal Surrey shooting of Jaskaran Singh Minhas in March.
Police Zero In on a Red Dodge Charger in Surrey Murder
A bold-colored car might hold the answer to a deadly mystery in Surrey. Investigators from Metro Vancouver’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) say a bright red Dodge Charger was used in the shooting death of 29-year-old Jaskaran Singh Minhas — and they want your help to find it.
Deadly Shooting Outside a Busy Store
On March 3, Minhas was shot in the 7900-block of 120 Street, right in the parking lot of a Best Buy on the Surrey side of Scott Road. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died at the scene. It was a shocking crime in an area bustling with shoppers and traffic.
Car Torched After the Crime
IHIT believes the suspects made their getaway in the Charger before setting it on fire in Delta. That act, investigators say, was likely meant to destroy evidence.
“Significant Progress” Made, But More Eyes Needed
According to IHIT, the case has advanced significantly since the investigation began. Still, they’re urging the public to come forward with any tips about the car’s movements or its occupants. Even the smallest detail could help close the case.
