Delta Controls Expands in Cloverdale With New Smart Facility

Delta Controls Breaks Ground on New Cloverdale Facility

Global building automation leader Delta Controls is making a bold move in Cloverdale, breaking ground on its next-generation headquarters.

On July 11, President John Nicholls welcomed Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke, city leaders, and staff to a special groundbreaking ceremony near Highway 10. The state-of-the-art, 150,000-square-foot facility will house research, development, manufacturing, and innovation under one roof.

Designed for Innovation, Built for the Future

Nicholls highlighted how Delta Controls products power more than 75% of Vancouver’s buildings. Soon, they’ll also support the new Cloverdale hospital.

By keeping all operations in one place, the company stays agile—even during global disruptions like supply chain breakdowns or pandemics.

“We research, build, ship, and support everything,” Nicholls said. “That agility keeps us leading the industry.”

Smart Buildings, Sustainable Mission

With nearly 350 employees and distribution in over 80 countries, Delta Controls delivers energy-efficient solutions across healthcare, education, and hospitality sectors.

“We make buildings smart,” Nicholls added. “We save energy and create meaningful experiences for occupants.”

The new three-storey building, set to open in 2027, will include underground parking and cutting-edge tech.

A Catalyst for Cloverdale’s Growth

Mayor Locke called Delta Controls “incredible,” praising the company’s long-term commitment to Surrey since the 1990s.

“This project reflects the exciting growth in Cloverdale,” she said. “It’s a sign of the transformation ahead.”

Scott Wheatley from the Cloverdale District Chamber added that Delta Controls doesn’t just operate here—it engages deeply with the community.

“They’re a company that believes in being involved,” he said.
