Surrey Summer Festivals 2025: Music, Culture, and Family Fun

Surrey, BC is buzzing with excitement as the city launches into one of its busiest festival seasons yet. From multicultural music festivals to family-friendly celebrations, this summer offers something for every resident and visitor.

Here’s a look at what’s happening across Surrey this season — and why you won’t want to miss it.

Surrey Fusion Festival Returns – July 20–21, 2025

Held annually at Holland Park, the Surrey Fusion Festival is the city’s flagship summer event, celebrating diversity through music, dance, and international cuisine. This year’s theme, “Together We Rise,” focuses on unity through cultural storytelling, featuring over 50 cultural pavilions and performances from artists representing South Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and more.

Expect live music from Canadian headliners, local dance groups, a family fun zone, and a global food market.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series – July to August

Running from mid-July to late August, the Sounds of Summer series brings free weekly concerts to local parks across Surrey, including Bear Creek, Crescent Beach, and Hawthorne Park.

Genres range from jazz and classical to folk and indie rock. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy live music under the evening sky.

Surrey Latin Festival – August 10–11, 2025

The Latin Festival returns this August, bringing vibrant Latin American culture to the heart of Surrey. Hosted at Civic Plaza, the event includes salsa and bachata dance performances, traditional food stalls, and live Latin pop, reggaetón, and mariachi music.

With free entry and a family-friendly atmosphere, it’s a celebration of rhythm, community, and heritage.

Family-Focused Events and Community Days

Throughout the summer, neighbourhoods across Surrey will host smaller-scale community festivals, including Whalley Family Day, Newton Days, and Guildford Park Play Days. These offer kid-friendly activities, live entertainment, and a chance for residents to connect with local organizations and services.

Planning Your Summer in Surrey

Residents are encouraged to check the City of Surrey’s events calendar regularly, as more events, pop-up markets, and outdoor movie nights will be announced throughout the season.

With a strong focus on inclusivity, accessibility, and free programming, Surrey’s 2025 summer festival season is set to be one of the most vibrant in years.
