The Museum of Surrey is once again transforming into a hub of holiday cheer as WinterFest returns for a month-long celebration from Nov. 22 to Dec. 22.
The annual event, which debuted last year, brings together several of the museum’s most popular holiday programs, offering free family-friendly activities, crafts, and festive displays.
“WinterFest is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy the season together at your museum,” said Lynn Saffery, Museum of Surrey manager.
What’s Happening at WinterFest
Cloverdale Christmas Tree Fest
Runs all month long as local businesses decorate dozens of trees. Visitors can vote for their favourite and enter a draw for a holiday prize.
Sensory Santa – Nov. 23
A calm, sensory-friendly Santa experience for neurodiverse children and families, ensuring everyone can share in the magic.
The stalew Craft Fair – Dec. 6 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
A beloved artisan market featuring local crafters and Indigenous programs.
Merry Makers – Dec. 14 (1–4 p.m.)
Visitors can get creative with hands-on Christmas crafts and activities for all ages.
Giving Back This Season
The museum is also encouraging visitors to bring a new toy or non-perishable food item to any WinterFest event. All donations will go to local charities, with bins set up in the main lobby and reception area.
