The 2025 Surrey & White Rock Business Excellence Awards celebrated the region’s top entrepreneurs and innovators on Nov. 6 at SFU Surrey, drawing nearly 400 guests to honour local success stories.

Recognizing Leadership and Growth

Lawyer Kendelle Pollitt, founder of Pier Law & Mediation, earned the Business Person of the Year award for her exceptional leadership and community impact. Since launching her family law firm in 2019, Pollitt has expanded it from a solo practice to four offices across B.C. — in White Rock, Delta, Powell River, and Vancouver. The firm has also been recognized nationally as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies.

Pollitt is also known for her Let’s Talk Resilience Initiative, promoting mental wellness among lawyers, and for her philanthropy and educational support, including scholarships for Surrey high school and Thompson Rivers University law students.
