Police searching for B.C. man charged with manslaughter
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Jordan Conway, who is now wanted Canada-wide after fleeing a halfway house in Abbotsford more than three months ago.
According to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), Conway was charged in 2024 with the manslaughter of 69-year-old taxi driver Aden Hersi, who was attacked on Aug. 14, 2022, and later died from his injuries three months later.
Conway was arrested and charged in September 2024 but later released pending further court appearances. He began residing at a halfway house in Abbotsford on July 7, 2025, and disappeared less than a week later.
“He left without notice sometime during the night between July 12 and July 13,” said a VPD spokesperson.
Since then, Conway has also been charged with assault and breaching release conditions. After weeks of unsuccessful searches, the VPD expanded the warrants to Canada-wide on Oct. 8.
Authorities are urging anyone who spots Conway to call 911 immediately and not approach him.
