A Rocha’s Annual Harvest Festival Returns to South Surrey
Fall festivities are in full swing as A Rocha prepares to host its annual South Surrey harvest festival on Saturday, Oct. 11. The celebration, running from noon to 4 p.m. at the organization’s scenic property, promises a lively afternoon filled with community spirit, great food, and joyful music.
A Celebration of Abundance and Community
This annual event is described as a tribute to “the abundance of the harvest and the goodness of creation.” Visitors can look forward to delicious eats from food trucks, vibrant live performances, and classic seasonal activities like hay rides, lawn dancing, and pumpkin displays. Fresh squash and other farm-grown produce will also be available for purchase.
Live Music and Family-Friendly Fun
The festival’s entertainment lineup features singer-songwriter Mark Hildebrand and the Counterpoint Band, a multi-instrumentalist folk trio known for their energetic performances. Kids can enjoy a range of family-friendly activities designed to make the day both fun and meaningful.
Capture the Moment for a Cause
Families looking to mark the occasion can take part in 15-minute professional photo sessions in front of A Rocha’s heritage barn. Each session costs $100, with $70 going directly toward the barn’s renovation project. Photographer Lauren Citton of Oak & Raven will capture three edited images, ready for download within two weeks. Limited time slots are available, and participants can sign up through signupgenius.com or at arocha.ca.
