24 Local Businesses Compete for Top Honors
Excitement is building as Surrey and White Rock gear up for the 2025 Business Excellence Awards. Twenty-four finalists have been announced across eight competitive categories, with winners set to be revealed at a glamorous gala on November 6.
The event, now in its 27th year, is hosted by the newly merged Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade (SWRBOT). Attendees can expect an elegant evening, with over 400 guests—including “young entrepreneurs of tomorrow”—joining in the celebration. Spotlight on Top Business Leaders
This year’s Business Person of the Year finalists include:
- Jas Oberoi (Jas Oberoi Group)
- Kendelle Pollitt (Pier Law & Mediation)
- Steve Pisiak (Ultimate Performance)
For New Business, the nominees are:

A New Chapter for the SWRBOT
In other news, the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade is preparing to unveil a fresh brand identity on October 2 at Morgan Creek Golf Course. The launch follows a merger between the Surrey Board of Trade and South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier in June, the organization introduced its new board members at a milestone AGM in South Surrey, marking a new era for the local business community.
