Fleetwood BIA Earns Two-Year Renewal After Strong Community Backing

Good news for Fleetwood! The Fleetwood Business Improvement Association (BIA) has officially been granted another two-year term by Surrey Council, extending from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028. The decision was made on November 3, following a strong show of community support.

A Community That Rallied Together

The festival showcases the area’s diverse culture and strong sense of togetherness.

Community Support That Speaks Volumes

Before the renewal, the association reached out to property owners and members between July and September. According to City Manager Rob Costanzo, 58 surveys were completed, with 91.4% of respondents backing the renewal. That overwhelming support reflects how much residents and business owners value the BIA’s work.

Fleetwood is one of four active BIAs in Surrey, alongside Cloverdale, Downtown Surrey, and Newton. Together, these organizations help shape vibrant, resilient business communities across the city — and Fleetwood’s renewal reinforces that commitment.
