The annual Clovies online silent auction—a key fundraising event of the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce—is now open for bidding.
Record participation this year
The auction runs in conjunction with The Clovies, Cloverdale’s annual business excellence awards, which will be held on Nov. 5 at Northview Golf and Country Club.
“We have a record number of items this year,” said Scott Wheatley, Chamber executive director. “We’re still uploading them to the auction site.”
Online format expands reach
Moved online during the pandemic, the digital format has proven more effective and will continue in that form. “It works much better and reaches more people,” Wheatley said, adding that a few major items will still be auctioned live during the gala.
Supporting local business
Funds from the auction help the Chamber support businesses in Cloverdale, Clayton, and Campbell Heights, while keeping membership costs low. “Every penny we raise helps local business,” Wheatley emphasized.
How to bid
Online bidding began Oct. 31 and will close Nov. 5 at 9 p.m., after the gala concludes.
