PWHL Vancouver invites Grade 8–9 girls to join a hockey mentorship program, offering skills, confidence, and leadership training from top athletes.
Dream Big, Skate Bold: PWHL Vancouver Launches Mentorship Program
Are you a young hockey fan ready to take your game—and your confidence—to the next level? The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Vancouver team is opening doors for future stars through its mentorship program, now accepting applications until November 7, 2025.
If you’re a Grade 8 or 9 student in the Lower Mainland who eats, sleeps, and breathes hockey, this is your chance to learn directly from Canada’s best players and connect with other girls who share your passion for the sport.
Learning from the Pros
Running from November through May, the mentorship program takes place in all eight cities with PWHL teams, including Vancouver. Locally, 15 girls will be selected to join this unique opportunity.
Participants will enjoy monthly mentoring sessions with PWHL athletes, gaining firsthand insights into training, teamwork, and leadership. Plus, they’ll take part in educational nights hosted by the non-profit Strong Girls United, focusing on essential life skills like confidence, resilience, and empowerment.
Building Confidence On and Off the Ice
This program isn’t just about hockey—it’s about growth, connection, and leadership. Imagine learning how to overcome challenges from athletes who have done it at the highest level. The mentorship helps young players build mental toughness and self-belief while creating lifelong friendships through a shared love of the game.
A Season to Remembe
PWHL Vancouver will soon make its official debut on November 21, facing off against PWHL Seattle at the Pacific Coliseum. Practices will be held at the PNE Agrodome, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for women’s hockey on the West Coast.
With eight teams now part of the league—Toronto Sceptres, Montreal Victoire, Ottawa Charge, Minnesota Frost, Boston Fleet, New York Sirens, and the two newcomers, Vancouver and Seattle—the PWHL is skating into a thrilling new era.
How to Apply
If you’re ready to learn from the pros, make new friends, and grow your confidence both on and off the ice, don’t wait—apply by November 7, 2025, through PWHL Vancouver’s official website.
Because the best players aren’t just made on the ice—they’re mentored, inspired, and motivated to dream big.
