White Rock Twins Fionn Launch New Album ‘Scum’ and U.S. Tour

White Rock-raised twin sisters Alanna and Brianne Finn-Morris, known as Fionn, release their new album ‘Scum’ and set off on a U.S. West Coast tour.

Pop-rock duo launches U.S. tour and returns for Vancouver concert Nov. 20
White Rock/Surrey-born identical twins Alanna and Brianne Finn-Morris, better known as Fionn, are taking their boldest musical step yet with their new album Scum—a fiery, cathartic collection of songs that blend pop-rock energy with emotional honesty.

Now based in East Vancouver, the sisters recently kicked off a U.S. West Coast tour, carrying with them years of experience performing around the Lower Mainland and beyond.

“You know, it’s a lot of feminine rage,” said Alanna. “A lot of angry, negative emotions channelled into music—it was a very cathartic album to make.”

A mix of rage, rhythm, and reflection
‘Scum’ explores heartbreak and healing through high-energy tracks and introspective lyrics. While their sound leans mostly rock, Brianne noted that a few songs “lean into our folky side” and even include “a couple of love songs” to balance the raw emotion.

Their latest single, “Blow,” is already gaining traction, marking a milestone in their evolution since signing with 604 Records in 2017. Label president Jonathan Simkin praised their growth:

“Their recent success is a testament to their dedication and hard work. It truly feels like the sky is the limit now.”

From Surrey stages to the spotlight
The Finn-Morris sisters first built their following while attending Holy Cross Regional High School in Surrey, performing nearly 100 local shows a year at restaurants and festivals. This year alone, they performed twice in Surrey—at the Let’s Hear It BC JUNOS music festival in March and Sounds of Summer at Bear Creek Park in July.

After wrapping their U.S. tour, Fionn will headline a homecoming concert on November 20 at The Pearl in Vancouver, with Frank Mighty opening. Tickets are available for $27.65 at ticketweb.ca.

Rising local stars with deep roots
The duo recently wowed audiences at Barnside Harvest Festival in Ladner, drawing crowds with their infectious harmonies and lively stage presence.

“It’s such a good feeling when you get that kind of energy from the audience,” Brianne said. “It makes it easy to put on a good show.”
