Get ready for a night of laughter and cheeky fun — The Comic Strippers are back in Surrey this November with a brand-new “Chip” joining the cast.
Local comedian Peter Oldring, who recently moved to South Surrey, joins longtime friends Roman Danylo, Chris Casillan, and Pearce Visser for an evening of improv comedy at the Bell Performing Arts Centre on Friday, Nov. 14.
Known for their hilarious male-stripper parody, The Comic Strippers combine quick-witted improv with dance moves, crowd banter, and musical bits in a show that promises “no extreme nudity, just extreme hilarity.” The event is strictly 19+ (no minors).
Oldring, best known as co-star of the CBC podcast This is That, says joining the troupe feels like coming home.
“I’ve known Roman since high school in Calgary — he’s the one who first introduced me to improv,” Oldring shared. “Being part of The Comic Strippers now feels full circle.”
Oldring and his wife, actor Sara Erikson, have recently settled in the Crescent Beach area, which they fell in love with during a summer visit. “We’ve been back and forth between Los Angeles and Surrey, but we absolutely love it here,” he said.
The Nov. 14 show carries extra excitement for the new “Chip.”
“My wife’s invited everyone she knows in Crescent Beach, so I really have to deliver the goods,” Oldring laughed.
Performing alongside his longtime friends makes the experience even more special.
“It’s just pure fun — as soon as the music starts, we’re dancing, the crowd’s laughing, and the energy is amazing,” he added. “It’s a comedy show at heart, full of playfulness and tongue-in-cheek humour.”
Tickets start at $57.90 (with group discounts for six or more). For details and bookings, visit bellperformingartscentre.com or call 604-507-6355.
