Taysup Back in Court for White Rock Assault Charges
A man previously accused in a 2024 Ocean Park harassment case is back before the courts, now facing new assault and probation breach charges connected to incidents in White Rock and Surrey.
Ricki Randall Taysup has been charged with assault in relation to an alleged incident that occurred on July 17, 2025, in White Rock. In addition, he faces a probation breach charge in connection with his earlier Ocean Park case, dated September 29, 2025, in Surrey.
Taysup appeared in Surrey Provincial Court on Tuesday (October 14) and remains in custody until his next hearing on November 10.
According to court records, Taysup is currently under a probation order prohibiting him from being in South Surrey, defined by 152 Street, King George Boulevard, and Marine Drive.
The White Rock RCMP has been contacted for additional details about the July assault, though no official comment was available as of publication.
Taysup’s legal troubles date back to July 2024, when he was accused of chasing and threatening a woman in Ocean Park. The charge led to his detention, and although his trial was originally set for October 2024, it was postponed.
During a March 10, 2025, sentencing for an earlier breach of release conditions, the Crown entered a stay of proceedings on the threats charge — meaning the prosecution was halted but could potentially be reinstated within a specific timeframe.
In August 2025, Taysup was sentenced to 43 days in custody for breaching probation tied to his South Surrey case. Additional breach incidents occurred on July 9 and 18 in Surrey and July 13 in North Vancouver. A stay of proceedings was entered for the July 9 offence.
Taysup remains in custody as the new White Rock assault case proceeds through court.
