Two years later, White Rock RCMP renews search for missing man Justin Fisher

White Rock RCMP renews its appeal for information on Justin Fisher, who went missing in 2023, as the two-year search continues to bring closure for his family.

White Rock RCMP is renewing its call for help in finding Justin Fisher, two years after he went missing near Marine Drive.

On October 7, 2023, Fisher was last seen in the 15000-block of Marine Drive in White Rock. The next day, a kayaker discovered his backpack floating about 100 metres offshore, containing several personal belongings.

Investigators say there is no evidence of foul play, but Fisher has not been located despite extensive searches and appeals to the public.

“Justin — if you see this: Your mom and family miss you and want to know if you’re safe and doing alright,” read a heartfelt message from his family included in the latest RCMP release.

Fisher, who would now be 43 years old, was described in 2023 as six feet tall, 220 pounds, with grey balding hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, dark blue jeans, and black shoes.

Originally from the United States, Fisher had travelled to Canada on October 2, 2023. Surveillance footage and receipts later placed him in Vancouver’s Cambie Street and Seventh Avenue area, but police were unable to locate him afterward.

White Rock RCMP said that several items belonging to Fisher remain missing, including outdoor gear and clothing he was believed to have been carrying at the time.

“Justin’s family continues to wait for answers. We want to find him and provide his loved ones with the closure they deserve,” said the detachment in a statement.

Anyone who has seen Fisher or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the White Rock RCMP at 778-545-4800.
