Surrey’s 8th Spooktacular Halloween Market Back to Raise Funds & Joy
Surrey’s beloved Spooktacular Halloween Market returns this year to the Cloverdale Fairgrounds, promising fun, costumes, food, community spirit — and support for local health care.
The eighth edition takes place October 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in both the Alice McKay Building and Shannon Hall at 6050 176th Street. All admission fees and raffle proceeds go directly to the Surrey Hospitals Foundation, helping fund important medical equipment and services in the region.
Event coordinator Kelly Ewing, who also works as a registered nurse at Surrey Memorial Hospital, says guests of all ages are urged to come in costume. Photo zones, costumed characters, a bounce house, face painting, balloon twisters, DJ music, and food trucks will fill the venue. She expects over 100 vendors and many attendees this year.
Last year’s event raised $6,505, and with expanded space and more features, this year looks to match or surpass that total. Every adult ticket includes a free raffle entry, and children under 12 enter free with admission.
By combining community entertainment and charity, Spooktacular remains a highlight in Surrey’s fall calendar — where families can celebrate together and support local health care.
