White Rock RCMP Warns Public After Daytime Assault
Incident on Prospect Avenue
A daytime sexual assault in White Rock, B.C. has prompted a public warning from the White Rock RCMP. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Friday, October 3, on the stairs in the 14900-block of Prospect Avenue, according to a police release.
Details of the Assault
Police say a victim was punched and groped in what investigators are calling an “unprovoked attack.” The suspect fled southbound through a nearby park immediately after the assault. The victim suffered minor physical injuries, RCMP confirmed.
Police Response and Investigation
White Rock RCMP officers, supported by the Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS), attended the scene to collect evidence. Investigators have begun canvassing the area for potential witnesses and video surveillance, including dash cam and residential footage.
Description of the Suspect
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man between 30 and 40 years old, approximately six feet tall, wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, khaki pants, and white shoes. Police are asking anyone who saw a man matching this description to come forward.
Community Safety Advisory
“Given the violent nature of this assault, we are encouraging members of our community to exercise vigilance while our investigators work to identify and locate the suspect,” said Staff Sgt. Rob Dixon, commander of the White Rock RCMP detachment. Police have emphasized that this appears to be an isolated, unprovoked assault.

Anyone who was in the area of Prospect Avenue and Everall Street between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Friday and has CCTV or dash camera footage is urged to contact White Rock RCMP at 778-545-4800. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
