A daytime sexual assault in White Rock, B.C. has prompted a public warning from the White Rock RCMP. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Friday, October 3, on the stairs in the 14900-block of Prospect Avenue, according to a police release.

Details of the Assault

Police say a victim was punched and groped in what investigators are calling an “unprovoked attack.” The suspect fled southbound through a nearby park immediately after the assault. The victim suffered minor physical injuries, RCMP confirmed.

Police Response and Investigation

White Rock RCMP officers, supported by the Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS), attended the scene to collect evidence. Investigators have begun canvassing the area for potential witnesses and video surveillance, including dash cam and residential footage.

Description of the Suspect

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man between 30 and 40 years old, approximately six feet tall, wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, khaki pants, and white shoes. Police are asking anyone who saw a man matching this description to come forward.
