Purdys Debuts Pistachio Crunch for Chocolate Day

Purdys Chocolatier is marking International Chocolate Day on September 13 with the launch of Pistachio Crunch, a Dubai-inspired treat featuring pistachio, white chocolate, and crispy kataifi pastry coated in milk or dark chocolate. Available in six-piece boxes at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre and Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, as well as online, the limited-edition chocolate follows the success of Purdys’ earlier Dubai Bark. The Vancouver-founded company, known for premium and sustainable cocoa, says the new creation reflects rising demand for pistachio-based flavours and innovative confections.

Surrey Enjoys a New Chocolate Sensation on Sept. 13

Date & Launch

On Saturday, September 13, Surrey’s Purdys Chocolatier will introduce its Pistachio Crunch—an homage to the viral Dubai chocolate trend—marking International Chocolate Day with its newest limited-edition offering.

Flavor Profile Designed to Surprise

Purdys’ Pistachio Crunch treats deliver a rich pistachio-white chocolate centre paired with crispy kataifi pastry. Each piece is coated in either milk or dark chocolate and topped with chopped pistachios for a crunchy finish.

Availability and Format Details

Available both in-store and online, the new treat is offered in a six-piece gift box. Local shoppers can find it at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre and Semiahmoo Shopping Centre locations, while Canadians nationwide may order through Purdys’ online shop.

Inspiration from Dubai Influencing Purdys’ Direction

Building on the success of its earlier Dubai Bark creation, Purdys is tapping into consumer demand for pistachio and experiential flavour combinations. Kriston Dean, vice-president of sales and marketing, says the company refined the concept to fit Canadian palates while preserving the exotic flair.

Heritage and Ethical Chocolate Craftsmanship

Founded in Vancouver in 1907, Purdys has built its reputation crafting chocolates using premium ingredients and sustainable cocoa sourcing. Pistachio Crunch continues this tradition while bringing in global influences.

Significance Beyond a Sweet Treat

This launch underscores Purdys’ strategy to blend viral food culture with its own artisanal standards. It also highlights growing consumer interest in novelty flavours and limited-time offerings.
