The wait is over—South Rock Art Tour is making its much-anticipated return to White Rock and South Surrey on September 20 and 21. With over 23 studio locations opening their doors, it’s the perfect chance to step into the world of local creativity.
A Sneak Peek Before the Tour
Can’t wait until the big weekend? You’re in luck. A special preview exhibition is running until September 19 at the Turnbull Art Gallery inside the South Surrey Recreation and Arts Centre (14601 20 Ave.). One artwork from each of the 36 participating artists is on display. The gallery welcomes visitors Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours until 4 p.m. on September 18.
That same evening, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the gallery will host a lively artists’ reception, giving guests the rare chance to connect with creators before the main event.
Meet the Artists, Explore Their World
The South Rock Art Tour isn’t just about viewing art—it’s about experiencing it. This free event lets you meet artists in their own studios, learn about their creative process, and discover what inspires their work.
From watercolour, acrylic, oil, pastel, and charcoal pieces to blown glass, ceramics, mosaics, jewellery, turned wood, and stone sculpture—the variety is endless. You’ll even find unique wearable art, home décor, and handcrafted cards to take home.
