Rising Star Returns Home

Vancouver Rise FC announced Friday the signing of Pitt Meadows native Jaime Perrault, bringing the 19-year-old midfielder back to British Columbia ahead of the club’s next Northern Super League fixture.

From Europe Back to Canada

Perrault joins Rise FC after a stint with Danish side FC Nordsjælland, where she appeared in 11 matches since signing in January 2025. Before moving overseas, she was part of the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy, laying the foundation for her professional career.

Club’s Vision for Growth

Interim sporting director Robyn Gale praised the homegrown signing, calling Perrault a symbol of the team’s long-term development strategy. “Her return demonstrates the strength of our academy system,” Gale said. “There is a unique pride in seeing a local player succeed at this level.”

Player’s Excitement to Compete

Speaking after the announcement, Perrault expressed her enthusiasm for the move. “I’m so excited to come back home to Vancouver,” she said. “I can’t wait to join my teammates and get back on the field.” Head coach Anja Heiner-Møller echoed the sentiment, noting the value of Perrault’s international experience.

International Experience on Display

Perrault has already represented Canada at the youth level, competing in the 2022 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. She later earned minutes with Canada’s under-20 squad, adding valuable international exposure to her résumé.

Next Match at Swangard Stadium

Rise FC return to action at Swangard Stadium on Sept. 6, when they face Calgary Wild FC at 4 p.m. The game will give local fans their first look at Perrault in Rise colours. Vancouver is one of six clubs in the newly established Northern Super League, competing alongside Calgary, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto, with the top four advancing to the semifinals.
