Family’s Plea: Search Continues for Missing Surrey Senior

A 76-year-old Surrey man, William Haworth, has been missing from Fraser Heights for nearly a week. His family urges neighbours to check cameras and yards for clues.

76-year-old William Haworth vanished in Surrey’s Fraser Heights. Family urges neighbours to check cameras and yards as search enters its seventh day.

Missing in Fraser Heights: A Family’s Nightmare

The family of 76-year-old William Haworth is living every loved one’s worst fear. Nearly a week has passed since he was last seen walking near his home in Surrey’s Fraser Heights, and the search shows no sign of slowing down.

The Last Known Sighting

Haworth was spotted around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, in the 16200-block of Glenwood Crescent. New video footage shows him strolling westbound—taking a different path than usual. For his family, this glimpse provided hope, but also more unanswered questions.

A Father, Teacher, and Friend

Kristina Morrison, Haworth’s daughter, describes her father as a retired teacher and coach who is active, sociable, and has a strong sense of direction. He never fails to return home after his daily walks. That’s why his sudden disappearance feels so unreal.
“It’s just crazy—no one’s seen him. He’s got to be somewhere,” she said.

Community Called to Action

Morrison and neighbours have been searching tirelessly, combing through trails and green spaces. She’s now asking residents—especially those recently away on vacation—to check their security footage, yards, and even sheds. The family also plans to reach out to Fraser Heights Secondary and a nearby rec centre for additional camera recordings.

Urgent Appeal for Information

Police have shared Haworth’s description:

  • White male, 76 years old
  • 5’10” tall, around 200 pounds
  • Bald, last seen wearing a white cap, blue shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers

Authorities warn he may appear disoriented. If spotted, members of the public are urged to stay with him until officers arrive.

How to Help

Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502, referencing file 25-49157 (SU). Even the smallest clue could help bring him home.
