Suspect Seized After Weapon-Involved Incident in Surrey

A man was arrested on August 8 after allegedly assaulting someone with a blunt weapon in a Surrey apartment on 137 Street. Police responded around 10:15 p.m. to a disturbance between two women that escalated when the man intervened. Social media videos suggested a chase, but police confirmed the suspect was caught on foot without pursuit. He was released with conditions, and no charges have been laid as the investigation continues. Authorities are seeking additional witnesses.
