Officers responded swiftly after reports of an individual running around with a box cutter near University Drive, close to the Canadian Football League team’s practice grounds.

Surrey Police confirmed receiving a call at 1:37 p.m. about the man carrying a box cutter in the area. Several patrol cars and at least eight officers arrived at the scene, ensuring the suspect was quickly detained without injuries. Police seized the knife during the arrest, bringing immediate relief to those nearby.
