CBC’s Hit Drama Allegiance Films Season 3 in Surrey

CBC’s award-winning police drama Allegiance is back in Surrey as filming for Season 3 runs through November with a star-studded Canadian cast.

Filming Underway in Surrey

CBC’s acclaimed police drama Allegiance has returned to Surrey for its third season of filming. Production company Lark Productions confirmed on Monday, August 25, that shooting will take place both in studios and across Lower Mainland locations until November 6, keeping the story rooted in the community where it was first launched.

A Local Hit with National Reach

The series debuted in February 2024 with a launch event at Surrey City Hall, quickly gaining attention for its gritty portrayal of law enforcement and the diverse communities it serves. Its strong connection to Surrey continues to be central to the storytelling, blending fictional narratives with the city’s backdrop.

Award-Winning Performances

Lead actor Supinder Wraich, who portrays federal officer Sabrina Sohal, recently earned the Canadian Screen Award for Best Lead Performer in a Drama Series. Her co-star Enrico Colantoni, playing mentor Vince Brambilla, was also recognized with the award for Best Supporting Performer. Their performances have anchored the show’s growing reputation as one of CBC’s standout dramas.

Season 3 Storyline

According to a release, Season 3 begins with Sabrina reconsidering her future in the Canadian Federal Police Corps after a troubled investigation. Pulled back into service by Superintendent Bolton, she faces a new border security case that forces her to confront the fallout of past decisions. With support from her mentor Vince, Sabrina must navigate internal tensions, especially with her partner Detective Zak Kalaini, played by Samer Salem.

Familiar and New Faces on Screen

Alongside Wraich, Colantoni, and Salem, the upcoming season features returning cast members Stephen Lobo, Adolyn H. Dar, David Cubitt, Toby Levins, Melanie Papalia, Andres Joseph, and Carmen Moore. Writers Penny Gummerson, winner of the 2025 Leo Award for Best Screenwriting, and Ley Lukins serve as the showrunners for the new season.

Why the Show Resonates

Critics and audiences alike have praised Allegiance for its “powerful and relevant storytelling,” highlighting its layered characters and nuanced representation of Canadian law enforcement. With filming underway, Surrey once again plays a starring role in a series that continues to showcase Canadian talent on both sides of the camera.
