Pitt Meadows Teacher Accused of Serious Offences
A former secondary school teacher from Pitt Meadows is facing multiple child porn charges following an investigation by Ridge Meadows RCMP. The BC Prosecution Service announced on August 5 that 30-year-old Lovesh Ramsaha has been charged with four separate offences, including internet luring of a minor, making and distributing child pornography, and sharing sexually explicit material with someone under 18.
The charges stem from alleged incidents that occurred in Pitt Meadows between August 2024 and February 2025.
Police Took Quick Action After Complaint
Ridge Meadows RCMP confirmed they received a complaint earlier this year about possible sexual offences involving a local teacher. The force’s Investigative Support Team immediately began gathering evidence, given the suspect’s position of authority in a school environment.
In a statement, Const. Tisha Parsons emphasized that protecting youth remains their top priority. “We know this update may be very difficult for some members of our community. Officers acted quickly and worked closely with the school district to ensure proper steps were taken.”
Police also noted they will not provide further comments as the matter is now before the courts.
School District Responds to the Case
Following the charges, Pitt Meadows Secondary principal Colin Sharpe issued a letter to families. He confirmed that Ramsaha had been removed from his teaching duties as soon as the allegations came to light earlier this year.
Sharpe reassured parents that student safety remains the district’s highest concern. “Please be assured that the well-being of our students is always our top priority,” he wrote. The letter also noted that staff will continue supporting students and families as the school community processes the news.
School District 42 stated it cannot release additional details due to privacy legislation and the ongoing court process.
Case Moving to Court in August
The BC Prosecution Service has confirmed a publication ban is in place to protect the identity of victims involved in this case. Ramsaha is scheduled to appear in Port Coquitlam court on August 21.
As with all criminal proceedings, the accused is considered not guilty until proven in court.
