Fleetwood’s favorite tradition is back — and bigger than ever!
On Saturday, Sept. 6, Francis Park (15971 83 Ave.) will burst to life as the 23rd annual Fleetwood Community Festival kicks off from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Packed with food trucks, live performances, community booths, and family-friendly fun, the event promises something for everyone.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. As the sun goes down, the Fleetwood BIA’s Movie Night Under the Stars takes over with a free showing of Over the Hedge — complete with free popcorn. Bring your blankets, grab your snacks, and settle in for a magical evening outdoors.
Festival-goers can expect:
Local flavors from food trucks
Live entertainment that gets the crowd moving
City of Surrey & SkyTrain booths with the latest updates
Non-profits, local businesses & community groups sharing their stories
A welcoming atmosphere where families, neighbors, and friends come together
“This is Fleetwood’s end-of-summer celebration — rain or shine — where everyone can connect, share, and celebrate our incredible community,” says Dean Barbour, Executive Director of the Fleetwood BIA.
The festival, originally launched in 1999 at the grand opening of the Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex, has grown into a can’t-miss tradition that continues to bring the community together, year after year.
So mark your calendars, invite your neighbors, and get ready for a day of fun and a night of starlit magic in Fleetwood.
