Vernon Educator Wins International Crown
Samantha Sewell, owner of a Vernon preschool, has been crowned Miss Legends International 2025 at the inaugural pageant in Florida. Representing Canada, she also earned awards for Best Runway and Best National Costume, impressing judges with her Winter Goddess ensemble featuring a feathered, light-up headpiece and maple leaf-adorned cape.
Championing Education and Inclusivity
An early childhood educator, Sewell launched Raising Stars Preschool in 2022, welcoming nearly 200 families. Her school emphasizes inclusivity, empowerment, and a strong foundation for young learners. Her achievements in pageantry complement her commitment to social advocacy and community leadership.
Using Her Voice for Change
Living with Apraxia of Speech, an invisible disability, Sewell promotes her platform, Be Someone’s Hero, Not a Bystander, to fight bullying and empower others. Her visibility amplifies awareness and inspires action across communities facing similar challenges.
Global Representation Ahead
As Miss Legends International, Sewell will travel worldwide for public appearances, advocacy, and social media campaigns. She previously became the first Miss Legends International Canada in 2024, continuing to represent Canadian talent and culture internationally.
